Place2Be
The Place2be is an organisation in our school which helps pupils with their problems. It is run by trained counsellors and is based in a room in the school. Pupils are referred by the school staff and they will have individual sessions with the counsellors . Parents are asked for their consent before such counselling begins.
There is also a place2talk. There is a yellow box in the foyer and pupils can put a piece of paper in it requesting an appointment at the place2talk. After the box has been emptied the counsellors will pick some of the slips and will make a 10 minute slot in which that person or people can come to talk.The place2talk is like a place2be only shorter and it is done at lunchtime. Pupils can discuss their problems or worries with the counsellor. They can do this in groups or individually. If you want to learn more about the Place2be go to their website at place2be website

We have recently set up a new initiative called A Place for Parents. This service is for parents and carers of children who attend or have attended The Place2be. It offers parents a time and a place where they can explore and express their thoughts and feelings about themselves and their children.
