27 Nov 2007 - D club win an award

The work of the D club was awarded a Standard Life Edinburgh Achievement Awards for its creative approach. The club was the overall winner in the creative approach category and the judges commented that it was an "Excellent project that raises the self esteem and confidence of pupils with dyslexia in an open, creative and fun way.
Danny and Robert from the club went along to the award ceremony at The Hub in Edinburgh. There were many nail biting moments as the gold award envelope was read out but Longstone triumphed and the boys were able to go up and collect our award.
Well done to everyone, past and present, who has been in the D club or has worked with them.
