The Longstone Football Team reached the finals of

the EPSSA Cup . The team played very well and

managed to reach the semi-finals.The matches took place

at Warriston Playing Fields.

Longstone played Royal Mile at 6.20 p.m. in the first game

of the tournament.They managed to win 4-2 after Gavin

grabbed a brilliant solo goal straight from the kick off.

In the next game they played Holy Cross

at 6:40. The team played well and got a 2-2 draw.

The

final game of the group was against the eventual winners

Drumbrae and Longstone got a good draw against

arguably the best team in the tournament. Longstone

finished second in the group which took them through

to the semi-finals which drew them against Nether Currie.

Ryan scored first for Longstone but Nether Currie

maneged to score four in the last half.

Longstone did very well to reach the semi-final so well

done to the lads(and of course the Janny. Mr Eadie)

The team would also like to thank the parents that came

to support them and a big thanks to Ms Mirtle and Mrs Swan.
